Why We're Now Youth Entrepreneur Startup

February 1, 2026·Allan Fan

A New Name. The Same Mission. A Bigger Vision.

When Michael and I started this organization, we called it the Youth Entrepreneur Summit — because the summit was the thing. It was the flagship event, the week that changed everything, the first expression of what we believed was possible.

But here's what three years of watching teenagers transform taught us: it doesn't end with a summit.

Every student who goes through YES isn't just attending a camp. They're starting something. A business, yes — but also a mindset. A way of seeing problems as opportunities. A belief that they can build what they imagine.

That's a startup mentality. And our name should reflect that.

Introducing Youth Entrepreneur Startup

We've registered a new DBA: Youth Entrepreneur Startup.

The acronym stays the same — YES. The logo gets a subtle update. But the meaning has expanded.

Summit implies a peak moment in time. Startup implies an ongoing, compounding journey. That's what we're actually in the business of creating: students who don't just have a great week at camp, but who go home and keep building.

What's Changing (and What Isn't)

What's changing:

  • Our official name: Youth Entrepreneur Startup
  • Our domain home: yeshq.org
  • Our vision for programming: beyond the annual summit to year-round programs
  • Our ambition: from hundreds of students to thousands

What's not changing:

  • Our commitment to every student we serve
  • The YES Summit — it's still our flagship event, still happening in Las Vegas, still the most transformative week we offer
  • Allan and me, showing up every day to build this
  • The belief that entrepreneurship is the fastest path to discovering who you are

One More Thing

If you've supported YES as a donor, sponsor, volunteer, or mentor — this name change doesn't change what your contribution has built. You helped create 150+ entrepreneurs. You helped fund this movement. Thank you.

If you're new here: welcome. You found us at the beginning of something much bigger.
